Problem
Most existing quality control solutions on the market are designed for large enterprises. As a result, they often include complex and unnecessary features for SMEs, making them difficult to use and too expensive. Consequently, many SMEs end up relying on Excel spreadsheets, where documents become scattered, and there is no centralized system to efficiently manage quality processes.
Result
We identified the essential functionalities SMEs actually need and developed a solution that simplifies quality management while remaining affordable, intuitive, and easy to use.

Technical specification
While collaborating with the Product Owner and Quality Managers, I gained a deep understanding of their workflows and the daily challenges SMEs face when managing quality processes with Excel spreadsheets. I translated these business needs and pain points into functional specifications that served as the foundation for the future SaaS product.

Architecture & User Flows
Designed the product architecture using a combination of traditional information architecture (site map) and user flow methodologies to create a structure and interaction map of the software.

This approach allows the visualization of not only the application's pages but also the individual UI elements within them, every user interaction—even minor ones—and the corresponding system responses. Mapping these interactions provides a complete overview of the product's behavior, making it easier to identify missing scenarios.

Ideation with AI
Using Claude Design and Lovable, I rapidly generated multiple design concepts for the main product pages. These variations were used to compare different approaches, gather feedback, and identify the most effective solution before beginning the detailed prototype and design system development.

Design system
Created a scalable design system by defining design tokens with variables for color palettes, typography, spacing, sizing, border radii, and other core UI properties.

Developed UI components by anticipating all possible interaction states (default, hover, active, disabled, error, and focus), ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance by adding visible focus states for keyboard navigation.
